About the Event
FEATURED ZOOM SPEAKER: Dr. Nancy Phillipart, former board chair and current advisory board member of the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM)
Dr. Philippart is General Partner and co-founder of Belle Michigan, an early stage venture fund that invests in women led start-ups. She has been an engineer and global business executive for 30 years in the automobile industry. Prior to retiring, she was the General Manager and Executive Director, GM Accessories.
Dr. Phillipart will be discussing a brief history of Girls Scouts and its notable alumni, how girls are staying connected and engaged during the pandemic, Gold Award girls and their projects, and the amazing things Girl Scouts are learning today. From exciting science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs, to cybersecurity and civic action badges, to amazing outdoor adventures, today's Girl Scouts are learning, growing, and making the world a better place through experiences only Girl Scouts can give.
NOTE: Following Dr. Phillipart’s presentation, ABWA Tipacon will hold a training session on Community Connections which features teaching members how to access their league’s resources, and how to view and update their profile in Community Connections, and how to register for courses in the Apex Campus.
